These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Anki Ascend plugin and related services (the “Service”).
The Service is operated by Philip Adejumo, located in the State of Connecticut, United States (“we”, “us”, or “our”).
By using the Service, including the generation or use of a license key, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
The Service provides an AI-powered plugin designed to enhance learning with Anki flashcards by generating alternative questions, explanations, or related study prompts. The Service is provided solely for educational and informational purposes.
You must be legally able to enter into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial educational purposes, subject to these Terms. Each license key is intended for use on a single device unless explicitly stated otherwise.

The Service may include a freemium tier with limited usage and paid subscription plans with expanded or unlimited usage. Usage limits, pricing, and plan features may change over time. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate material changes.
Paid plans are billed through a third-party payment processor. By upgrading, you authorize us to charge applicable subscription fees and to automatically renew your subscription unless you cancel. You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Unless otherwise stated, fees are non-refundable, including for partially used billing periods.
The Service is provided for educational purposes only. We do not guarantee any specific learning outcomes, exam results, grades, or performance improvements. Use of the Service does not guarantee success on exams such as STEP, board exams, or any other academic or professional assessments. Learning outcomes depend on many factors beyond the Service, including individual study habits, prior knowledge, effort, and external circumstances. You acknowledge that you are solely responsible for your learning and exam preparation.
The Service does not provide medical, clinical, legal, or professional advice. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. The Service must not be used for clinical decision-making, diagnosis, treatment, or real-world patient care. Always verify information using authoritative and trusted sources.
The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate content. You acknowledge that AI-generated outputs may contain errors or omissions and should be reviewed critically. You remain responsible for verifying accuracy and relevance before relying on any content.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We do not claim ownership over your study content. Anonymized usage data may be collected to improve the Service.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, including features, pricing, or usage limits. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from or related to the use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violations of these Terms or misuse of the Service. You may stop using the Service at any time.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Connecticut, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
